Meet Dr. Scott Sells

Clinical Director of the Kansas City Child Guidance CenterModel Developer of Parenting with Love and Limits®

Dr. Scott Sells, Founder, PLL

Parenting with Love and Limits® (PLL), founded by Dr. Scott Sells, serves two major functions.

The first is to provide you the parent with a step-by-step approach to parenting your  teen (rather than abstract theory) that can easily be applied. Dr. Sells’ six years of intensive research resulted in a book for parents entitled, Parenting Your Out-of-Control Teenager, (Executive Book Summary Link here not store) as well as the therapeutic system of care now known as Parenting with Love and Limits® (PLL).

The second is to give both you and your teenager tools to restore lost nurturance and heal old wounds. When there is a lot of fighting and tension, over the months or years the playfulness and nurturance get heavily bruised or damaged. The research shows that rules without relationships lead to rebellion.

Right now many of you might be feeling that you love your child but no longer like them anymore. This is normal. We at PLL understand this and will provide you and your family with concrete tools to heal this divide.
